3 Food Principles to Help You Melt Body Fat, No Matter How Busy You Are
I know, I know. You’re busy. Work, kids, travel. Figuring out how to eat healthy in the midst of it all just seems like such a daunting task.
I’m gonna make it simple for you. The 3 food principles or mantras we’re gonna dive into, are going to be SUPER easy to follow, and if you do; they’ll melt body fat like crazy.
Let’s go.
1.set a start & end time for eating.
Intermittent fasting gets overhyped a lot, but if you struggle with over eating, it can be extremely valuable. I like to have my clients intermittent fast, by setting a breakfast time & a dinner time, and using that as their window.
For example, you could eat breakfast @ 9AM, and then dinner @6PM. So now, you eliminate all “midnight” snacking due to eating an earlier dinner. And you’ll naturally go to bed earlier as well.
Find a window that works for you, your schedule & your goals, and stay disciplined to it. (Oh and eating late at night DOESN’T make you gain weight. It’s eating JUNK late at night.)
2. Eat every meal sitting down at a desk / table.
This one may not sound very impactful, but let me explain why it’s HUGE. Being mentally present with the food you’re eating is a huge part of eating better, and digestion.
It’s easy to scarf down some crap while pulling out of a drive through on 2 wheels. It’s MUCH harder to eat crap, when you sit down, get rid of all distractions, and stare your food in the face.
Take your time & be intentional with actually consuming your meals. You’ll see a dramatic difference.
3. Get something green in every day.
Along with the obvious nutritional benefit of most veggies, they’re low calorie & extremely satiating. This means you’ll feel fuller for longer, which is great during a diet phase. You’ll also get some good fiber in, which will help mitigate those late night, or stress induced sugar & salt cravings. Eat your veggies.
